Half of the world’s population, over two billion people, lives on less than $2.00 a day and 21,000 children die each day due to poverty, hunger, and easily preventable diseases.
Our club, like others in the GFWC, reaches beyond our own community to the global community to make a lasting difference in the lives of children, their families, and communities.
Some of our International Outreach Projects:
- Lifestraws, special straws with built-in water purifiers, distributed to children in Africa
- Operation Smile for children born with cleft lips or cleft palates
- “Free the Girls,” an organization that helps women rescued from sex trafficking
- Heifer International, purchasing animals for communities of poor farmers around the world.
