June President’s Message

There is still a lot to learn, and there is always great stuff out there. Even mistakes can be wonderful. ~Robin Williams

It’s a wrap!

Our club finished the year strong and in May gained 7 new members. That is incredible and a testament to all that we do in service of our community. Our ladies are out there and visible in the community. We are in schools helping teachers, we have helped to clean up on Earth Day two years running. We are at West Deptford Day in September, and we will be going to the West Deptford Farmers Market during the summer.

Behind the scenes, we collect food and clothing, we give money for scholarships, and we send girls for a college experience through GCI and HOBY. We support the K-9 unit and fire company, as well as our community library. When
I look at all we do, I am immensely proud.

Summer Projects

Though we do not meet in July and August, collections will be going on during the summer, so look at your emails for how you can participate.

Upcoming for Fall

We always start off the fall with a big bang. There will be a hoagie lunch sale, and of course, our basket raffle. The basket raffle is our biggest event, and we hope all will participate. It is our main source of donations for all the charities we support.

Important!

Mark your calendar for the September 9th general business meeting at the RiverWinds Community Center. We have a great lineup of speakers coming. Please don’t forget to register for the Know & Tell Free educational seminar on June 17th from 10 am to 1 pm. I am looking forward to it, and I think all of us can learn something great from this.

Thank you all again and again for your service. Have a great summer and I hope to see you at the End-of-Year dinner.

With great love and respect,

     Janice
