The Arts & Culture Community Service Program is designed to inspire members to appreciate the workmanship of crafts, needlework, sewing, paintings, art, photography and baking. Through this program, clubs may develop and implement creative projects that promote a healthy lifestyle, target personal development as well as a partnership with others and organizations.

Here are a few of our interests:

  • Creative Workshops: Our members enjoy craft nights led by local craft teachers or artists. Several times a year we make wreaths, centerpieces, cards, door hangings, and other creative projects.
  • Nursing Home Partnership: Twice a year we get together and make 100 greeting cards to be delivered to the residents of a local nursing home. We have also made table and tray decorations in the past, and might again in the future.
  • NJSFWC District Achievement Day: Each year we participate at our District Spring Conference. Members enter their work in a Garden District contest, items such as needlework, photography, baking, painting, flower arranging, and quilting. Winners go on to the state-level competition. Photography state winners are entered in to an International GFWC contest and awards are presented.
