Dear Club Sisters,
I hope each and every one of you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I certainly did. Most importantly, several members of the WCWD were able to represent the club and march in the WD Township Memorial Day Parade. We had so many compliments, praise and shouts of pride from the residents from both West Deptford and National Park. I can’t tell you how proud I am to show our commitment to our Township and represent our amazing club. I understand that we were the only all-woman civic organization in the parade.
A big shout out to the following members who were able to march or ride in our wagon. Thank you Jody H., Janice M., Denise P., Debbie H., Linda M., Chris T., Sharon B., Patty W., Ann C., Peg S., Carol D., Ellen S., Agnes K., Nancy B., Nancy D., and Karen B. These ladies were amazing!!! Thank you to Sue N. who picked up 6 huge bags of candy and to Nancy D. who donated an extra bag of candies. We were able to get to the end of the parade with candies for the children. Also an extra shout out to Carol D. who procured our wonderful driver of the truck, Jay, and to the Grasso Girls who provided the wagon so all members could be part of this very important civic opportunity.
Also, thank you to Jody H. and her husband David for the impromptu bbq at their house after the parade for those of us (and significant others) who attended the parade and could make it. We were very hungry and thirsty after our active morning.
