Family Promise of Gloucester County continues to help homeless families get into their own homes. There were two families in the program when I went to the Day Center to drop off the duffle bags. The director, Vicki Peters, was interviewing another family the following day.
Each new family receives a duffle bag to carry their clothing when they travel to sleep at local churches. Even the children get a duffle bag if they need one for school.
Our club is the only group that provides these duffle bags. So we will continue to help!
What is needed is NEW 21 inch or larger Duffle Bags. If you do not want to shop, bring your monetary donation to our meeting and I will do the shopping and delivery. There will be a cardboard house-shaped box at the meeting to put your donations.
A special thank you to Elaine Rudolf who found a terrific sale and purchased three duffle bags in addition to the four bags purchased with the money collected at our January meeting.
Thank you so much for your continued support to help the homeless in our community!
