Blankets for CASA NJ

When a child is taken from home in the middle of the night and placed in foster care, a fuzzy fleece blanket is something to hold onto. Ten of our club members met for two marathon sessions of blanket tying and made a total of 18 blankets for the children of CASA NJ.

The project was organized by Debbie H., and Denise H. arranged for us to use the hall at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in West Deptford. Our two sessions covered more than eight hours, and members came and went as they were able to help.

Material for the blankets was mostly donated, some by a non-member of the club and some by club members.
