What a wonderful 30th Anniversary Celebration we had!
We welcomed special guests Shirley Holly, NJSFWC President; Marie DiMatties, NJSFWC Garden District Vice President; and West Deptford Mayor Jim Mehaffey. Each of our guests presented us with congratulatory certificates and statements.
President April Maska welcomed everyone and spoke about her presidency and how far the club has come. We have received about 10 new members, and anticipate reaching April’s goal of 60 members by the time her term is finished in June. She honored charter members who are still club members: Clara Campbell, Anne Cramp, Cheryl Fairchild, Debbie Hinkle, Denise Hosier, Linda Jones, Linda Marple, Denise Pitchford, Ellen Sanker, Chris Taylor, and Jeannette Wood.
Cheryl Fairchild, the first President of the club when it was formed in 1993, spoke about this history of the club and complimented the West Deptford Junior Woman’s Club for producing so many future woman’s club members.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner served by Terra Nova restaurant.
A special treat was a Video of Past Presidents prepared by 30th Anniversary Committee Chair Janice Morrison. We are all looking forward to seeing it again at our February meeting.
