October 28: Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast at Falcon Diner 10AM
You can order anything from the menu. I have requested separate checks (please bring cash just in case). Let’s have fun and wear a Halloween costume. (Not required to attend.) RSVP by October 21st.
November 12: Brunch at Hen and Honey, 11AM
95 Woodstown Road, Swedesboro. You order and pay at the counter. They deliver your order to your table. RSVP by November 4th. The place is adorable and they run seasonal specials.
December 8: Holiday Dinner
at Seven Star Diner, 1890 Hurffville Road, Sewell 856-228-5166. Your dinner will include soup of the day, a garden salad, your entrée, unlimited soda, coffee or tea and for dessert: pudding, Jello or ice cream. (As per our vote at the September meeting, we will NOT have cake.)
Entrée choices are:
• Chicken Marsala with fresh mashed potatoes and broccoli
• Chicken Parmigiana with Linguini
• Broiled Tilapia with fresh mashed potatoes and broccoli
• Baked Virginia Ham with fresh mashed potatoes and broccoli
• Roast Turkey Breast with house-made stuffing, fresh mashed potatoes and broccoli
• Mom’s Lasagna made with ricotta cheese, crumbled meatballs, Italian sausage, marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese and meat sauce.
The cost will be $43. RSVP by November 20th to lindagfwc@gmail.com.
There will be a cash bar. Please order and pay at the bar for your drinks.
All dinners have to be paid in advance. If you are paying by cash or check (made out to WCWD), please put your payment in an envelope with your name and Holiday Dinner on the outside of the envelope and give it to Sue Nelson by the November meeting. Or use Venmo or Zelle.
Holiday Ornament Exchange
Purchase a NEW ornament ranging from $8 -$10 and place it on or near the tree. Pick a number. When your number is called you will select an ornament to take home. Everyone who brings an ornament will go home with an ornament.
Please remember to send me your ideas for social events. The committee does have a couple of ideas for the spring that do not involve just going to a restaurant.
