Donor Cards Available

We now offer our members bundles of 5 Donor Cards, available for purchase. The cards will be $20 per bundle and you may use them as you please. Sandy M. has taken over the Donor Card program for the winter while Debbie H. is away, so please see Sandy.

It was suggested that if you are giving your mailman, hairdresser, etc a gift, you might want to put it into one of our cards. You may also use them as you see necessary to send a get well, birthday, etc card at your leisure. The admins keeps a notebook with a page for every member that tracks when and to whom you send your cards and also, how many cards you have left in your account.

About the Program
For those of you unfamiliar with the Donor Card program, we have note cards printed that indicate a donation has been made to the WCWD and a sentiment appropriate for the occasion that you are sending is written inside the card. If you wish, you may give Debbie H. $20 in cash or check payable to WCWD and she will mail out the cards for you. All you have to do is send her an email at khinkle202@verizon.net and she will send a card for you.

The money we raise from this project is to help enhance our operating account. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

May 2018 Report
The Donor Card Program is up, running and very successful! So far, we have received $320 – our 500 note cards are paid for and to date, 29 cards have been mailed out and our profit is $148.96. The only other expense is for postage, which is minimal.

Don’t forget to see me at a meeting if you are interested in purchasing cards. $20.00 cash or check made payable to WCWD will buy you 5 cards. The cards will be sent out for you including postage. When you are ready to have a card sent, for any occasion, just send me anĀ e-mail requesting a card to be sent.Ā Remember to include the name andĀ address of the person to receive theĀ card and what the occasion is. If you would like to send your own sentiment, please feel free to do so.

So far, 18 members have participated in this fund raiser. Remember, from here on, all monies taken in are clear profit as the cards and postage have been paid for.
