March Presidents’ Message

Dear Members,

March is the month where we start to get back into motion. We are thawing out from the winter months, days are getting longer, and we are ready to get back into the swing of things.

NEA’s Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2, Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Thank you Linda M. for coordinating this project with some of our club members to read to the children at the Red Bank School.

Our Social/Entertainment Committee, Cynthia H-B. and Peg S., are very busy planning a trip to the Madir Temple this month. They are also looking into a Board and Brush night. A winery trip is in the near future!!!

Arts Creative Chair Linda J. is looking for our creative members to enter their creations at the annual Garden District Spring Conference & Achievement Day on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the Pennsauken Country Club. Tickets are $36. Starts at 10:00 a.m. Please see Linda for details.

The Bingo Committee held their first meeting. A few of the committee members have shopped and purchased beautiful and stylish handbags. They are off to a great start!!!

I am pleased to announce April Maska as the new Co-President. April is uniquely qualified to help lead our club. See her bio on page 2.

We are saying hello to April as we say goodbye to Louise Avery. Louise has retired and moved to Pennsylvania. We are so grateful for her service as Co-President for the past three years and will miss her on the Board. However, April is up for the challenge and is looking forward to the new position. I’m thrilled to have another fabulous partner to work alongside of.

Welcome new members! Our club is growing so quickly. It is so wonderful to see growth and so many new and friendly faces.

In Federation Friendship & Love,

Carol & April
