The Woman’s Club of West Deptford had a very busy month of May. We had a successful spring flower fundraiser, raising $225 for the Operating Account.
Carol F., Louise, Debbie and Denise H. attended three days at the GFWC Convention in Atlantic City. Joan, Carol M., Sandy and Kim VZC. attended convention on Wednesday. Denise H. was installed as the NJSFWC Webmaster. Congratulations Denise! April won an award for her watercolor painting and Dorothy won for her photos in the Arts Creative exhibit. Congratulations ladies! Way to represent the Woman’s Club of West Deptford!
We also co-hosted the GCI reception at the West Deptford High School.
The Bingo Babes are off to a good start. All handbags have been purchased and solicitation for sponsors has begun. Our Bingo will be held at the West Deptford Middle School on October 19, 2018. Please plan to attend and lend a helping hand.
Sandy, Kim, Joanne, April, Sherry, and Agnes have been hard at work preparing for the club’s 25th anniversary/holiday dinner that will be held on December 11, 2018. Please plan to attend. It should be a fun night!
The Garden District Council meeting will be held on June 21 at the Mantua Community Center. Another date to save, September 22, 2018 which is West Deptford Fun Day. We will have a table. Details have not yet been finalized. However, help will be needed to man the table. Please let Carol F. know if you can help out.
