Helping Homeless Veterans

A special thank you to Denise H., Debbie H., and Cheryl F. for representing our club by attending the Southern State Luncheon & Fashion Show. This was a fundraiser for Operation Chillout.
We are continuing helping with the Operation Chillout’s Winter Collection. This is a backpack prepared for a man or woman filled with warm clothing — zipped hooded sweatshirt, non-leather gloves, knit cap, warm socks, thermals. They are delivered to locations where homeless people gather, including food pantries, soup kitchens, temporary shelters and places where some sleep in the open in abandoned buildings, parks, and alleyways.
So far our club has donated 11 backpacks. If you want to donate go to www.operationchillout.org for the Online Winter Drive.
