Our Book Club met on Tuesday, March 3rd at Jody H.’s house. We read The Giver of Stars by JoJo Moyes, and enjoyed a spirited discussion of the book.
It is about a WPA project during the Depression to bring books to rural areas. The main characters in the story are women who rode mules and horses into the remote areas of the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky to deliver books to families who otherwise had very little chance to read or learn.
We enjoyed the book, and are looking forward to having another book club discussion in May. Next book: The Dirty Book Club by Lisi Harrison. Why not pick up a copy and join us in May?
