NJSFWC is celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the federation. One of the events of the celebration is a Day of Service on November 16, 2019. The federation is collecting items to be donated to Embrella (formerly Foster and Adoptive Family Services) for distribution to young people who have aged out of the Foster Care System. Embrella provided a WISH LIST of items to be collected. ONLY NEW SEALED AND/OR TAGGED ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Clara and Joan will collect new items from the Day of Service/Embrella Wish List at the October and November meetings. To view the wish list click here.
We have collected 6 sets of Twin XL sheets, toiletries, socks, and miscellaneous items from the list thus far. If you would like to donate to the Day of Service project, please check the list for ideas. The list was published in the September Tidbits. DVP Patricia Dahl and Day of Service District Chairman Karel Black are looking for volunteers to help on November 16.
Location: First Methodist Church of Glassboro Fellowship Hall
Time: 7:30 – 9:30 AM
Donated items will be sorted, packed, and labeled before they are transported to the Rowan University pick-up location. Interested in helping? Contact Joan for more details.
