On January 19, 2026, our Day of Service proved to be a remarkable success, thanks to the dedicated participation of our members. A total of fourteen members contributed to this effort by either donating supplies or volunteering their time to assist with the sandwich-making process.
The team gathered at St. Paul’s Church in Thorofare at 10:00 a.m. Upon arrival, everyone worked together to unload the supplies and set up an efficient assembly line. The group’s organization allowed us to quickly prepare and package the lunches, completing the entire process in just over an hour.
Each lunch package consisted of a sandwich, a snack, an apple, a napkin, and a 12-ounce water bottle. These items were carefully selected and assembled to provide a nutritious and satisfying meal for the
recipients.
Since St. Paul’s pantry would not meet again for another month, the team decided to deliver the lunches to Jericho Baptist Church in Deptford. Janice’s husband kindly assisted by dropping off the meals. The church is committed to feeding those in need and was open daily, with their food pantry scheduled for that Wednesday.
This initiative was supported by generous donations. Of the $250 contributed by a private citizen, the club allocated $177.00 toward the effort. In addition, club members donated $252 worth of supplies in kind.
