Socially Speaking for Fall

Your social committee is working to make sure you have a variety of events scheduled, various days of the week, mornings and evenings to accommodate all of our members.  Please read through the list of events and social outings. Check dates, times, and RSVP dates where noted. Questions or suggestions, reach out to a member of the social committee. Thank you.

FRIDAY, October 10, noon: Lunch at Red Bank Battlefield,

Pop-Up Event: NO NEED TO RSVP.
Everyone brings their own lunch. We will eat at the tables near the rest-room. If the pavilion is available, we can move there. This is strictly a no-frills social event. HOWEVER, we will designate a table as a dessert table, and if you would like to donate something for your club sisters to enjoy, you are welcome to do so. Please be sure to pack your own utensils, as well as a paper plate with your lunch if you wish to partake of the dessert table. If you don’t want to add to the table, you are not required to do so, and are still invited to join for lunch and socialization.

THURSDAY, October 30, 9:30am: Halloween Breakfast at Falcon Diner

RSVP by October 23rd to Jody
Join us for this “spooktacular” breakfast. Ordering from the menu with separate checks is welcomed. A
notice of who is attending so that carpool arrangements can be made will go out prior to the event. Each attendee will be responsible for purchasing her own breakfast. You are welcome to dress up for Halloween
if you dare.

FRIDAY, November 7, 2025, 6pm: Fahrenheit Ceramic Studio

8 South Broadway – Pitman. RSVP by October 22nd to Jody if you would like to attend.

Each attendee is responsible for cost of their ceramic piece and the discounted $4.00 studio fee. You are welcome to bring in snacks and beverages, including adult beverages. I will pick up all the items the following week and send out notification so you can get your item from me. The studio requires a head count TWO WEEKS prior to our arrival. The room is on hold for us, and a deposit has been secured.

MONDAY, November 24, 2025, 2pm: Longwood Gardens

Please note that this is a walking trip – so please wear comfortable shoes. Scooters are available on a first come, first serve basis, and CANNOT be reserved in advance. If you have mobility issues, you will have to consider if this trip is for you.

Yes, we will carpool. Meet at RiverWinds Sr. parking lot by 1:50pm – so we can get on the road by 2:00pm This is the lot across from the Sr Center. It is approximately an hour drive from West Deptford to Longwood.

All attendees must purchase their own ticket in advance. As tickets are timed admission, please get it for 3:30pm. When we arrive, we may grab a bite to eat so that we can walk the gardens in the later afternoon when it’s all lit up.

Dress appropriately for the weather– this is an outside event. You may want to make sure you have a few $$ on you. I don’t know if they take cash or are cashless as so many other venues. Be prepared
either way,

If you are interested and have not told me, please do so, or we won’t know to wait for you. If you have told me you wish to go and no longer choose to attend, I need to know that as well. THE CARAVAN WILL LEAVE PROMPTLY AT 2:00.

TUESDAY, December 9, 6pm: Holiday Dinner at Seven Star

This has already been booked. Cost per person will be $45.00. (Please see specifics for our Holiday Dinner in separate article on page 3.)

After further investigation, we decided NOT to do this as a group. Feel free to make arrangements on your own if you are interested. Tour is open from 2-7pm

Some homes and buildings DO HAVE STEPS. Purchasing a ticket acknowledges this fact and the tour is not responsible for falls.

Tickets are non-refundable.

Google: Mullica Hill Christmas House Tour. It will take you to the site where you can order your ticket. Ticket price is $15.00 plus $1.30
service fee, plus a 3% charge to
